What customers say

I told them what I wanted and they came back with a couple of options within a day. Never had to set foot in a dealership until it was time to pick up the car.

The whole thing was way less painful than I expected. They handled the back and forth with the dealer so I didn't have to sit through any of it.

They walked me through the numbers plainly, no pressure, no upsell. I knew exactly what I was signing before I got to the dealer.

Had a trade-in and wasn't sure how that would work with a lease. They explained it clearly and it just got applied at signing, no surprises.

Common questions

What is a lease broker, and how does Torq get paid?

A lease broker sources and negotiates new-vehicle leases on your behalf instead of selling from a single dealership's lot. We compare offers across multiple dealers and manufacturer lease programs to find competitive terms for the vehicle you want. Like a mortgage or insurance broker, we're typically compensated through a fee built into the transaction rather than charging you directly out of pocket. We'll always be upfront about how a specific deal is structured.

Do I need to visit a dealership?

No. Picking the vehicle, comparing numbers, the credit application, and the lease paperwork all happen by phone, text, and email, and the car is delivered to you. That is the point of working with a broker. You do not spend an afternoon in a showroom waiting on a finance desk. If you have not settled on a vehicle yet and want to drive a few options first, a dealership is genuinely the right place for that. Come to us once you know what you want.

How does delivery work?

Delivery is complimentary, and it is how most of our deals finish. Once the paperwork is signed, we bring the vehicle to your home or office at a time that works for you. For most clients, the first time they touch the car is in their own driveway. If you would rather pick it up in person, that works too.

Can I lease in my business's name?

Yes, and plenty of our clients do, usually for tax reasons. We handle personal and business leases both, and there is a separate credit application for each. Whether leasing through your business is the right move for your situation is a question for your accountant. Once you have decided, we will structure the deal around it.

What credit do I need to lease?

Leasing companies review your credit application individually, and requirements vary by manufacturer, lease program, and the specific vehicle. There isn't one score that applies across the board. Generally, stronger credit opens up more lease programs and better terms, but a specific score doesn't guarantee approval or rule it out. We can't promise an outcome. What we can do is apply on your behalf and show you which programs you actually qualify for once an application is in.

Can I lease with a trade-in?

Yes. A trade-in's value, whether it's still financed or owned outright, can be applied toward a new lease the same way it can toward a purchase, often reducing what's due at signing. We'll factor your trade-in into the numbers we bring you so you can see its actual impact on the deal before deciding anything.

What happens at lease end?

You generally have three options: return the vehicle and walk away, purchase it for the residual value set in your lease contract, or lease your next vehicle and roll straight into a new deal. The leasing company will inspect the car for excess mileage or wear beyond normal use, which can carry additional charges. We're happy to help you weigh those options as your lease term winds down.

Not seeing the car you want?

We can source nearly any make and model. Tell us what you're after and we'll come back with a number.
